We are a fellowship of believers that began gathering in 2016 in the home of our leaders, Pastor Craig & Lady Tiffany Thurmon. Out of our "living room experience, " The Encounter Assembly was launched as a Wesleyan Church plant in August 2017.
We call the church The Encounter Assembly because we believe one Encounter with Jesus can change

We call the church The Encounter Assembly because we believe one Encounter with Jesus can change your life. We believe in the assembling of believers for the purpose of encouraging one another, disciplining believers, and having fellowship with other believers because the Church is more powerful when everyone is using their gifts to build each other up to share the gospel outside of the assembly. We believe as we encounter the teachings of Christ through the written word and the power of the Holy Spirit, people will be healed from their brokenness and begin living a life of purpose and fulfilling life assignments which bring glory to God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
We moved into shared space alongside two other ministries on Indianapolis's far east side, where we meet each Sunday at 10 AM.

We believe in Almighty God, the creator of heaven and earth, who is eternally existent. He is one God in three persons: God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent—attributes that are His alone.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man; that He was conceived and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as the sacrifice for sinners. By His bloodshed at the cross, We likewise believe that mankind is only redeemed from the eternal penalty of sin by his faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and his finished work at Calvary.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son, and is of the same essential nature, majesty, and glory, as the Father and the Son, truly and eternally God. We likewise believe that the Holy Spirit is the effective agent in conviction for sin, in regeneration, in sanctification, and in glorification. The Holy Spirit is ever present, assuring, preserving, guiding, and enabling the believer to live in accordance with the word, the will and the way(s) of God.
